An exciting opportunity is available to expand and enhance your social work skills at the South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) in the Aware Program. We are seeking an experienced clinician to work therapeutically with families / carers and young people who have engaged in concerning or Harmful Sexual Behaviours. You will have professional experience working with and responding to complex trauma related to sexual assault and/or family violence and or harmful sexual behaviours. You will have experience using strengths based interventions within a framework of intersectionality, gender equality and a human rights based approach.
You will have demonstrable experience in working collaboratively with key agencies, within the scope of relevant legislation and professional guidelines. You will be an excellent communicator, able to work independently and contribute to a resilient team.

About SECASA
SECASA is a specialist sexual assault and family violence service, which provides:
Therapeutic interventions and counselling following sexual assault and or family violence to victor survivors and other affected members
24/7 sexual assault response
Harmful sexual behavior treatment services for children and young people with concerning or harmful sexual behaviours and their families
Community education and preventing work including programs in early learning centers primary’s school and highs school
Secondary consultation
About the Role
Aware clinicians provide assessment and intervention for children and young people with concerning and/or harmful sexual behaviours. Clinicians work closely with family and or carers. In addition clinicians provide education to the wider community on supporting children and young people to engage in safe and respectful behaviours.
The position is full time
You will have or be eligible for membership of AASW with CPE or AHPRA
The position will be based in Dandenong at the MDC.
