The School of Social Sciences offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including research programs that combine advanced academic knowledge with real-life training to suit a range of career needs and interests. The School and the University has an important role working with Greater Western Sydney communities to ensure the region plays its part in the national and international community. The University is seeking to appoint a School Manager to join the new School of Social Sciences. The School Manager is a member of the School’s Executive team and is the most senior professional member of the School. The School Manager provides strategic planning and operational business oversight and supports the Dean and School Executive across teaching and learning, research, International and engagement activities. The role is responsible for driving the development and implementation of effective business practices and services that support and promote the strategic and operational objectives of the School. The School Manager is responsible for continuous improvement in the management of financial, physical, information and human resources across multiple campuses of the University.

The School Manager plays a major role in negotiating and advocating for seamless service delivery to the School from the divisional areas of the University, to support the operational and strategic objectives of the University. The position also works with other key units in supporting a University- wide framework around business development.

This position contributes to lifting the profile and performance of the School in developing and implementing the School’s strategies by performing a key role in the relationship management interface between the University, the School and the community, with an emphasis on the many stakeholders the University supports.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at either our Parramatta, Penrith or Liverpool Campus. The successful candidate may negotiate their location. For further information, please refer to the Position Description.

Remuneration Package:HEW Level 9 $134,458 to $143,591 p.a. (comprising Salary of $113,619 to $121,336 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
