Our client is a leading provider of diagnostic and surgical products to ophthalmic and optometry industry is looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager.
This senior and strategic position will play a vital role in helping the organisation achieve its vision of becoming the leading provider of Ophthalmic and Optometry surgical and diagnostic products across North Queensland.
You will facilitate the travelling sales team during in-field sales of product and services to end user customers, with the overall objective of improving sales call effectiveness and achieving desired results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the General Managers and Product Managers to establish the most realistic sales targets for DFV.
Development and management of sales in North Queensland to ensure sales and profitability targets are met across this region.
Management of the North Queensland Sales team across all business areas in order to maximise sales revenues and meet sales objectives.
Establishing and managing an effective program to manage, coach, appraise and train sales personnel, both clinically and commercially.
Interface with travelling sales team across the sales territory for all sales, customer training, service support, identification and report of quality, customer complaints and incidents.
Develop and recruit sales staff in the region as sales and profitability allow.
Accurately forecast and report annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
Recruit, coach, mentor, train, assist and support the sales team in the region on opportunities and strategies.
Actively monitor and report competitive activity, anticipate competitive counter strategies and assist development of effective countermeasures.
Deliver the local marketing and product strategy.

As a successful candidate you will demonstrate the following:
Experience in developing and maintaining good relationships with KOLs, other key decision makers and key account personnel.
Minimum 10 years of sales experience in Ophthalmic medical devices.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with Vitreo Retinal Surgery market.
In-depth knowledge of DORC VR product range.
Ophthalmic medical device marketing experience.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
High level managerial and coaching skills.
