About Us: Muirs is a proudly Australian-owned fourth-generation family business that delivers best-in-class products, services, and expertise to help local agribusinesses grow and flourish.Through our national network of specialist staff, we create value for growers by improving farming efficiency, profitability, and sustainability so that the next generation can continue to Grow forward.About the role:Based in the south-eastern quarter of Tasmania, a region which has seen ongoing expansion of irrigation infrastructure, which has resulted in significant investment in wine-grapes, food crops and a diversity of land-use innovation and intensification.We are looking for a full-time Sales Agronomist with a strong background in Viticulture to join our team in Brighton, only a 30-minute drive from the vibrant state capital, Hobart.The key sectors you will work with can include viticulture, horticulture/vegetables, fruit crops, pastures and broadacre crops, depending on your skills, experience and areas of personal interest.You are skilled at identifying pests and weeds in crops and experienced in recommending solutions. Hands-on, specific training will be provided to you to augment the solid foundation you bring and help you Grow Forward in your new role.Key Responsibilities:Provide a high level of Agronomy services to our existing clients and build relationships with new clients.Work with the sales agronomy team to provide high-quality advice to the client base, to support their business objectives.Be part of an energetic team of people who are highly focused on the success of their customers.Skills & Experience:Tertiary qualification in agriculture or related field/industry experience.Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment.Good presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Excellent customer service skills, as well as an ability and willingness to build relationships with key stakeholders, are essential to your success in this role.Significant experience in viticulture will be viewed favourably in your application.Relevant computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.A current driver's licence is essential.The successful applicant will be rewarded with a remuneration package including a competitive salary, a fully maintained company vehicle, a mobile phone, and a laptop.In return, you will enjoy working in a dynamic team environment as we Grow Forward, where the days are fast-paced and the company culture is innovative.Grow Forward with Muirs:A competitive salary package.Long-term career potential within a privately owned company.Recognition through various employee award initiatives.Company-paid parental leave.An Employee Assistance Program which incorporates a tailored well-being initiative.If you're as passionate about this position as we are, please don't delay and apply now.
