We are expanding our operations in Australia and are currently recruiting a Safety Specialist.
As a Safety Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a strong safety culture across the organisation by providing expert guidance on workplace health and safety obligations, conducting risk assessments, and developing programs to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies. You will collaborate with leaders and teams to embed a proactive safety management framework, delivering initiatives that safeguard the physical and psychological wellbeing of employees.
In your new role, you will: Provide advice to leaders and teams on safety duties, responsibilities, and obligations.Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies.Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and training programs.Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.Partner with business units to manage risks and support compliance frameworks.Develop timely reports to measure safety performance against organisational targets.Facilitate safety committee meetings, audits, and targeted WHS education sessions.Foster a positive safety culture through engagement with frontline staff and managers.ABOUT YOUYou are a proactive safety professional with a strong background in workplace health and safety, risk management, and compliance. Your collaborative approach and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation will empower you to drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
To be successful, you will: Have experience in a safety role with a proven track record of legislative compliance.Hold tertiary qualifications in OHS or equivalent experience in safety advisory roles.Demonstrate a methodical, evidence-based approach to safety and risk management.Possess exceptional time management and prioritisation skills in dynamic environments.Exhibit strong communication and influencing skills across diverse stakeholders.Show expertise in developing and delivering safety policies, procedures, and training.Pass health assessments and maintain compliance with all workplace standards.Provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination and undergo alcohol and drug testing as required.This role requires the flexibility to work across both Melbourne and Brisbane, with travel between locations as needed.For more information about the role please call Daisy on or simply click Apply Now and our recruitment team will prioritise your application.
