The successful candidate will report to the Manufacturing Manager, but also support the other sections of the business including 3 other sites.Responsibilities will include:Encourage the belief and expectation that injuries are preventable and help personnel to learn to "see safety" in order to prevent incidents and injuries.Develop and deploy systems to standardise the approach to safety procedures, hazard identification and reporting, assessment of risk and the reporting of the above.Provide data collection, analysis and reporting of key safety related information to fulfil site based, corporate and any regulatory reporting requirements.Coach and guide personnel in how to correctly use such systems in a compliant fashion.Develop a safety training program in conjunction with the People & Culture Team though appropriate deployment channels, e.g. web-based, toolbox sessions, practical sessions etc as appropriate.Ensure availability of regulatory compliance information, safety data sheets etc.Ensure effective processes are in place to respond to injured personnel.Act as the site coordinator (in conjunction with P&C) to manage return to work processes for injured personnel.Provide guidance to returning personnel and their supervisors/managers to ensure compliance with return to work plans and associated requirements.Review policies and procedures to continually improve the system of safe work.Provide leadership and guidance to other personnel in the business relating to safety.Skills and experience required:Demonstrate appropriate experience in Occupational Health and Safety ComplianceDemonstrate use and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety risk Management principles.Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 standard would be beneficial.You will be a quality focused individual with excellent attention to detail, have good communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team.Intermediate knowledge of the MS Suite including word and excel
