Role Overview As a Safety Engineer at our early-stage technology company, you will play a pivotal role in leading a culture of safety across our uncrewed aircraft prototypes and their operation. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in both the office environment and the manufacturing shop floor. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities Develop and implement safety protocols for uncrewed aircraft and their operation. Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and ensure safe operation. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Document safety procedures and risk assessments. Support the transition from prototype to production, ensuring safety is maintained. Required Experience and Skills Proven experience in safety engineering for aerospace applications. Strong background in risk assessment and hazard analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Experience with safety standards and regulations. Desired Experience Familiarity with aerospace safety certification processes. Experience with safety-critical systems and software. Knowledge of human factors and ergonomics. Ability to obtain AGSVA Security Clearance – Baseline (or existing clearance). #J-18808-Ljbffr
