Our client, a national construction company, is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to join them on location in Hobart to be a part of a $130m construction project to commence in January 2025.

About You Minimum 3 years' experience as a HSE Advisor (or similar role) in the Construction industry. Cert IV in Workplace, Health & Safety (or similar). Cert IV – Trainer and Assessor (desirable). Current First Aid Certificate and CPR essential. Valid class C licence essential. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Excellent administration and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office. About the Role HSE: Achieve the highest Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards possible.
Provide leadership and continuous improvement on employee and contractor attitudes towards safety.
Strive to eliminate injuries and incidents on the project. Program: Ensure adequate time is allowed in the program for safe work practices. Quality and Systems: Successfully implement the Company's Management Systems, Project Management Plans, and initiatives. Human Resources: Show leadership in safety culture. Subcontractor Management: Ensure subcontractors complete their works with a focus on HSE. Client Relations: Tangibly demonstrate the company's safety culture and performance to the client's onsite representative where applicable.
