About the Role: The JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting a Return-to-Work Coordinator to join the team on a full-time capacity.
Based on site in Corowa (NSW) and reporting to the HR Business Partner, Meat Processing.
This role will be responsible for injury management, return to work and injury prevention programs across all Rivalea NSW sites, in accordance with Company and legislative requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Develop and actively manage and monitor injury management, including RTW plans and programs.
Ensure all work-related injuries and illness are promptly assessed, diagnosed and treated.
Ensure (where appropriate) non-work-related injuries are assessed prior to return to work.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with medical/service providers to facilitate recovery at work/early return to work.
Develop and implement appropriate injury management systems, processes and documentation to ensure best practice processes and legislative compliance.
Ensure employees are advised of their rights and responsibilities regarding RTW.
Schedule, monitor and attend medical appointments with employees.
Identify suitable restricted duties in consultation with leaders.
Coordinate all activities associated with site medical/physio clinic days.
Maintain PPHA and other health screening information, e.g.
Audio screening, Organophosphate monitoring.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records in the applicable database(s).
Provide education and support to Leaders in the management of RTW of injured persons.
Develop, propose and, where appropriate, implement injury and illness prevention initiatives.
Maintain accurate records.
Provide training, guidance, tools and assistance to site First Aiders (where relevant).
Contribute, as part of the WHS and P&P teams, to key business strategic plans and activities.
Actively support and work within the WHS team to reduce injury and implement the WHS strategy/plan.
Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes and work instructions at all times.
Perform other duties as directed.
Skills & Experience:
Occupational Therapy qualifications or similar (highly regarded).
Advanced Return to Work and Level 3 First Aid qualifications.
Significant practical occupational rehabilitation and injury management experience.
An ability to assess injured Employees to ensure timely treatment and return to work.
A demonstrated understanding of Workers Compensation and WHS and OHS legislation.
High-level organisational and interpersonal skills.
A current drivers licence.
Advanced computer skills.
