The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Rostering Coordinator to ensure effective management and coordination of rosters within the Personal Care program. The role will require you to work 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for the rosters of up to 30 clients and their Personal Support Workers. This is a critical position within our organisation and you must have excellent organisational, communication and problem solving skills. You will be supported by the Personal Care Manager and work alongside another Rostering Coordinator.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Be the single point of contact for clients and carers in relation to roster management; Coordinate development of Client rosters and ensure ongoing coverage; Participate in Recruitment of Personal Support Workers; In collaboration with Service Supervisors, review rosters and validate hours worked, as required; Ensure roster minimises cost and is compliant with applicable awards; Comply with departmental policies and procedures, recommend improvements where applicable; Liaise with agencies to coordinate brokered care; Monitor effective use of agencies against available budgets; Ensure adequate training days are rostered for carers; Participate in agreed after hours handover processes; In consultation with the Work Health and Safety Business Partner, ensure appropriate return to work schedules. About You You will be offered the right support to excel in this role, but we would love to see that you have:
Minimum 2 years previous experience rostering in Disability services; High level communication skills, both written and verbal; High level problem solving skills including conflict resolution; Ability to work with people who come from diverse cultural backgrounds; Time management, organisation skills and attention to detail; Knowledge and experience working with NDIS clients; Working knowledge of SCHADS Award and applicable conditions/requirements; Flexibility to work after hours if required; NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one; Experience using Nightingale or other rostering systems; Understanding of issues associated with physical disability and disability standards.
