DescriptionBetashares is seeking an energetic and self-motivated risk and compliance professional to join their funds related risk and compliance team. It is a great opportunity to apply previous experience whilst expanding your skillset in an innovative and growing business. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with all areas of the business and enhance Betashares' risk and compliance function.
Role ResponsibilitiesIdentifying and implementing risk and compliance framework improvementsConducting risk reviewsMonitoring adherence to the compliance planManaging breaches and incidentsManaging complaintsAssisting with regulatory liaisonManaging our compliance assurance systemPreparing risk and compliance reporting to the Board and relevant committeesConducting risk and compliance related staff trainingManaging the implementation of regulatory changeProviding risk and compliance advice to the business. Skills & Experience5+ years financial services experience (funds or investment platform specific is desirable)Prior experience maintaining an AFSL holder's risk management frameworkPrior experience managing breaches and incidentsPrior experience generating risk reporting (and associated recommendations) to senior managementExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues to senior managementStrong writing skills and attention to detailExcellent organisational skills with ability to multi-taskAbility to work independently, as well as cooperatively and as a member of a teamTertiary qualifications in a relevant field (law degree in particular is desirable).
