Our staff are passionate and work together as a team to deliver on our mission and take everything we do to the next level.PURPOSE OF ROLE/POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the National Gym Manager, the Gym Manager at our Flinders Park gym will be critical to the successful ongoing management of Ryderwear gym. The Gym Manager is responsible for overall operations of the gym including but not limited to; achieving financial targets through continuous membership growth and retention, end to end employee management, work health and safety compliance, facility and equipment maintenance and management and achievement of the sales targets for the Ryderwear retail store located within the gym complex.MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Club Operation:? Manage all operational aspects of the club to drive membership and increase member retention? Take full ownership for building a quality team by attracting and recruiting competent staff who share the same ethos and values of Ryderwear? Processing rosters and timesheet approvals for all staff members? Maintain stock levels of the retail store and club amenities? Induction and training of all new staff and club members? Manage and coach staff to execute company sales and marketing strategies? Appropriate Ryderwear uniform is worn by all staff members with pride? Ensure club and equipment is maintained and in proper working order? Ensures compliance with WHS legislationSales:Ensure RYDER selling is applied in all sales interactions to maximise effectiveness and ensure member experienceProduce daily/monthly sales reports for both club and retail storeOversee merchandising of the retail storeLead and inspire the team to achieve daily sales and overall monthly targetTrain staff on presenting new memberships to prospects and critique presentationsPeople Management:? Daily meetings with staff to advise of any trends or changes in the gym as well a discuss any safety issues which may be arising? Demonstrate Ryderwear values and build a culture across the clubs where your staff and members live their best life? Ensure a quality member experience through next-level service and standardsSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Qualifications:? Current First Aid and current CPR Certificates? Police check & Working with Children check? Not Required but highly regarded Certificate III in FitnessExperience:? Previous experience in managing a gym or healthy facility essential? Prior administrator experience with Clubware? Prior experience setting up and managing payment platforms such as Debitsuccess? Up-to-date knowledge of gym compliance obligations? Managed teams of customer service, membership consultants and other ancillary staff? Either worked as a Personal Trainer or previous experience with PTs and track record of achieving membership or sales targets? Experience within a Retail environment and understanding retail visual merchandising with stockSkills:? Strong knowledge of the fitness industry? Strong leadership skills? Exceptional customer service and sales experience? Extensive retail and visual merchandising experience? Being able to multitask under pressureTHE EXTRA DETAILS:Please note this role is Monday to Friday 8am-4pm with some out of hours work required (weekends and public holidays)One day a week you may be required to work 1pm-9pm
