Residential Service Manager - North of the RiverAged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)Full timeThe Residential Service Manager (RSM) supervises the day-to-day management and administration of services and activities within their nominated homes, ensuring a superior experience is provided to residents and their families that meet their individual needs, goals and aspirations in a manner that reflects The Nulsen Way; and contributes towards an increase in the overall quality of life.About us:Nulsen Disability Services is one of Western Australia's leading disability services providers, established in 1954. As well as supporting people with complex disability, we also provide a range of therapy and allied health services.At Nulsen, we're committed to providing outstanding services for people with complex disability. We're accountable to the people we support, and we design our services to meet the needs of individuals.Responsibilities:Facilitate annual Person-Centred Planning meetings and develop subsequent plans, in collaboration with residents and their support network.Ensure outcome reports are completed in a timely manner.Provide support and information to the Participant Engagement team when undertaking residents NDIS or funding reviews.Understand and follow Individual Service agreements.Ability to track resident funding and oversee the Profit and Loss statements for each home.Actively engages with residents and their families on a regular basis, fostering relationships that encourage participation, engagement and feedback, and assisting Nulsen to provide a superior experience for residents that reflects best practice; The Nulsen Way, and meets the National Standards for Disability Services.Provides guidance, support and mentoring to Support Workers in their day-to-day activities in providing services to residents in the home, ensuring they follow each resident's individual plans; allocating tasks, providing feedback and monitoring performance to ensure performance targets are achieved.Facilitates house meetings with staff and encourages staff participation. Takes appropriate actions in response to issues raised, and keeps staff informed on the progress of these actions.Identifies on-the-job training requirements for Support Workers and works with Workforce Development to ensure staff attend training and are assessed for competence, as appropriate.Assists the Workforce Development team in conducting pre-employment interviews for Support Workers as required.Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications:Experience in supervising teams in a service delivery environment, working with people with disabilities and engaging with their families.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including facilitation, negotiation, mediation, and advocacy; with experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.Considerable organisational and analytical skills including experience in problem solving, time management, and managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.Sound knowledge of the rights of people with disabilities; the concepts of social role valorisation, inclusion, and quality of life; and the National Standards for Disability Services.Sound written communication skills, including the ability to write reports.A willingness to work out of office hours as required.What you'll need:Must hold Australian citizenship or be a permanent resident of Australia.NDIS Worker's Screening ClearanceProvide First Aid certificateProficient in the use of technology including email, the internet and Microsoft Office.What you'll get:Not-for-profit salary packaging (up to $18,550 per annum)An additional $14,400 vehicle allowance (pro-rata)Free, confidential access to our Employee Assistance Program.What are you waiting for?
