The tranquil surrounds and magnificent gardens will have you feeling as though you are working at a tropical resort, while knowing you are making a real difference to the lives of our residents and their families.About the PositionThe Resident Assistant position is a versatile role supporting the dedicated work of our Personal Care and Lifestyle teams in the care of our residents. Taking direction from the Clinical Care Coordinators, this role will support the provision of quality support to meet the social, physical, spiritual, cultural, and emotional needs of the residents. The Resident Assistants will undertake a range of general duties that will be shared across both the personal care and lifestyle teams, dependent on the resident's needs. Some examples of a Resident Assistant's duties are as follows:Helping residents to and from appointments, activities, and outings.Assisting the Personal Care team with daily care of residents such as bathing, dressing, meal serving, and positioning.Direct all health queries from residents' families, friends, or guardians to the Registered Nurse on Duty.Assisting the Lifestyle team on bus outings and set up/breakdown of events.Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with NoosaCare's Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.Work within the scope of skills and avoid the duplication of support for residents.About youCaring and empathetic approach to supporting residents.An interest in a career in the Aged Care industry.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with a wide range of people and cultures.Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families.Consistently maintaining confidentiality of residents and staff.Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents and their families/representatives.Ability to comply with safe work practices and food safe handling practices.Our Community:Our Mission, Vision and Principles create the platform upon which our organisational attitudes, behaviours and work practices will be strengthened, enacted, and monitored.Aged care is so important to us and our community that we strive to be the best Aged Care facility on the Sunshine Coast.
