Country Road Group (CRG) is embarking on transformation to position itself for growth, leveraging our scale, capabilities and culture as a House of Brands. We are investing in new and existing capabilities and have a number of exciting opportunities available. The Research Manager is responsible for the analysis, synthesisation, and communication of the macro qualitative data on key customer trends for Country Road Group and its brands, contributing to strategic customer opportunities. The Research Manager will provide periodic updates, conduct custom research, and manage partnerships with agencies like MROC, Voice of Customer, and other news subscriptions.
Key Accountabilities Source macro qualitative information/data on key customer trends relevant to the CRG house of brands and communicate this back to the business.Analyse macroeconomic trends affecting customers, in partnership with Group Strategy while identifying customer themes and influences (e.g., cultural, behavioural, preferences), supporting brand positioning and customer segmentation.Conduct bespoke qualitative research on topics that help answer strategic questions of CRG and the brands.Effectively synthesise and communicate key customer trends/themes and outcomes of bespoke research with key stakeholders.Conduct research using news subscriptions (e.g., BoF, Inside Retail) and manage partnerships with external agencies.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure recommendations are relevant to the business context and fit into broader pieces of work. E.g. with Loyalty Insights, Analytics, Loyalty, brand teams.Key Capabilities Significant experience in research, customer insights, marketing, category management or other business partnering roles. Experience at a leading research agency would be ideal.Proven experience in customer research, consumer insights, or market research, preferably in retail or consumer-facing industries.Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. At this level, the candidate will be working very closely with the 'Head of' level, occasionally at the GM/MD level, and regularly presenting to ELT.Curious mindset to find the right information and ability to synthesise multiple pieces of information.Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to engage and influence a range of key senior internal & external stakeholders.Demonstrated experience working in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, fast-paced environment, ideally in retail.Why work for CRG?
