Salary Package:From $105,298 - $117,167 (HEW 8), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.
Appointment Type:Full time, continuing.

The Role
Research Services, within Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) portfolio is seeking a Research Contracts & Due Diligence Consultant. This role will provide specialist advice and expertise in relation to research contracts due diligence and legislation.
The Research Contracts team is responsible for managing the execution of research agreements, arranging for review and execution of agreements, and liaising and negotiating with other parts of the University and with external parties as appropriate.
About You
The successful applicant will have Bachelors Degree in Law and/or equivalent experience in paralegal or contract management. The ideal applicant will have expertise in contracts and intellectual property law and experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial (and/or research) contracts; exceptional stakeholder engagement skills; and the ability to communicate complex legal matters in layman’s terms efficiently and effectively. Of particular importance will be experience in undertaking due diligence and conducting risk assessment in relation to contracts and strong problem-solving skills that support the translation of complex problems into practical and workable solutions.
