The successful candidate will contribute to an Australian Research Council Discovery Project, aiming to develop low-cost electrochemical sensors based on poly-ionic liquids.Designation: Research AssociateResearch Area:ElectrochemistrySensorsLocation: Curtin University, Bentley Campus, Perth, Western AustraliaMinimum Requirements:PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, chemical engineering)Knowledge of electrochemical fundamentals and methods, including cyclic voltammetryDemonstrated track record in developing new electrochemical methodologiesCommitment to high-quality research and publications in analytical electrochemistryExcellent written and oral communication skillsExperience in undergraduate student supervisionAbility to work as part of a multidisciplinary teamJob Description: The Research Associate will be involved in:Modifying electrodes and employing ionic liquids and poly(ionic liquid)s as solventsAssembling electrochemical cells and instrumentationPerforming electrochemical characterisation using techniques such as cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, square wave voltammetryData analysis and methodological developmentWriting scientific journal articlesDisseminating results at group meetings, conferences, and workshopsAssisting with the supervision of PhD and Honours studentsCollaborating with other experimental teamsHow to Apply: Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, CV, and a separate document directly addressing the selection criteria.
