The opportunity: Join a base metals mining company with operations in WA and overseas.
They are seeking a qualified Mechanical Reliability Engineer with experience in HME, particularly with brands such as Cat, Hitachi, and XEMG.
You will be involved in procuring new overseas HME equipment and will have significant autonomy to develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies, supporting the Manager - Assets.
The position offers a 5:2 roster in Perth or a 4:3 roster on-site, initially for 6-12 months with the possibility of becoming a full-time employee.Some of your duties will include:Supporting Lifecycle Management and Work Management improvements.Monitoring equipment performance related to cost, performance, and reliability; conducting root cause analysis and failure reviews.Collaborating with the LT planner to deliver major component change-out programs and ConMon programs (including oil sample analysis).Performing parts interpretation and supporting active projects.Liaising with OEMs to troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose faults, and implement solutions.Managing OEM and major component warranty claims.Implementing audit processes and schedules.Analyzing complex problems and implementing risk mitigation strategies.Reviewing MTBF and MTTR data and developing improvement strategies; conducting post-mortem analyses using RCA, FMEA, LORA, etc.Monitoring wear rates of GET, tyres, and undercarriage components, and developing action plans.Establishing reporting dashboards to monitor asset data.Your experience:Degree and/or certification in Mobile Plant or related field.WA C Class Driver's License.Proven experience as an HME Reliability or Maintenance Engineer.Proficiency in MS Office and CMMA (Oracle preferred) or Pronto.Experience in strategy implementation.Strong stakeholder influencing skills.What you'll get:Hourly rate plus superannuation.Autonomy with support from a charismatic leader.Direct communication line to the Manager - Assets.Agile team environment encouraging quick solutions.Hybrid Perth/site roster.Potential to convert to full-time employment.How to apply: Click the links to submit your CV or email Cullan at for a confidential discussion.
