Release Manager

12 month Federal Government contract Our client, a large Federal Government department who provide housing and services to Australian Defence Force members and their families, is seeking an experienced Release Manager to join their team.
As a Release Manager, you will lead, establish, maintain and execute release management processes across multiple applications.

Key duties/skills include:
Develop and maintain release schedules in coordination with project, development, Quality Assurance (QA), and operations teams; Oversee the deployment of on-prem and cloud updates across development, staging, and production environments; Maintain and manage on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring that they are properly configured and aligned with deployment needs; Work with the Incident Manager to manage any fallout or incidents related to infrastructure/application changes.
Criteria:
Strong understanding of on-prem and cloud architecture, integration, configuration, and development; Demonstrated experience with version control tools and CI/CD pipelines; Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, demands and deadlines, and initiative to plan accordingly.
