We are seeking a motivated Registrar – Palliative Care. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Liaising and collaborating with treating doctors in both inpatient and community-based settings.Managing patients and clients across a range of inpatient and community-based settings.The Tasmanian Health Service (THS) – North West Region is an innovative and dynamic organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community in Tasmania's beautiful North West. The Team:
The team comprises four palliative care consultants and currently two other palliative care registrars. The medical practitioners work across the MCH and NWRH, as well as the community, alongside palliative care nursing staff.
Details of appointment:
Multiple, fixed-term, full-time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 3 February 2025 until 1 February 2026. You will receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro rata.
Salary:
Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $131,000 - $183,500 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
• Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.
• Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees.
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.Enrolled in the relevant specialty training program.Note: Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
