Provide care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management. A level one registered nurse is responsible for a level of administrative responsibilities, including:
Deliver high quality nursing skills to residents and support their families, with consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needsComplex needs require following skillsetscatheter management incl. catheterizationpalliative care incl. syringe driver managementwound managementidentification and escalation of clinical deteriorationstrong documentation skills with knowledge of ANACCProvide leadership, support, orientation and education to Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care AssistantsPromote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication managementPermanent opportunities working 9.45pm-7.15amMinimum commitment 4 shifts/weekAbout you:You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential!
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Div 1Experienced as a registered nurse in residential aged care/home care (preferred)Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on-the-spot problem solvingDemonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast-paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one-on-one interactionsThrive in a team and also appreciate the one-to-one interactionsAre committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)Essentials for working in Aged Care:A current Working With Vulnerable People cardCurrent and ongoing flu vaccinationsAbility to pass a national police clearanceMake a positive difference in your community – apply now!
