Unidex actively recruits for all areas in the healthcare field, specializing in Disability Services, Support Services, and Allied Health.
The Role: UHC is seeking to engage a Registered Nurse to partner with a male participant based in Hervey Bay, QLD 4655.
Our participant requires the highest complex care and is non-verbal.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as a clinical point of contact for support workers during shift times. Provide immediate guidance and address clinical concerns raised. Conduct regular assessments of the participant's health status. Monitor and document any changes in the participant's condition and ensure prompt response times. Collaborate with Allied Health professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive care plan. Facilitate communication between support workers and Allied Health professionals to implement necessary adjustments to the participant's care. Provide ongoing training to support staff. Ensure all consumables related to the participant's care are stocked, stored, and used correctly. Oversee the accuracy of the participant's clinical documents. Raise any significant concerns or changes in the participant's condition to the clinical coordinator. Document and report any incidents or issues that arise during the course of care. Develop meaningful relationships with the participant and their family. Skills & Experiences: At least 6-12 months' experience working as a Registered Nurse. Full working rights in Australia. Current First Aid / CPR Certificate. Current NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain. Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain. NDIS 'Worker Orientation' Module. NDIS 'Supporting Effective Communication' Module. AHPRA registration without any restrictions. Access to a car, Driver's Licence, and Insurance is required. Please note: two current references are required.
