Learn more - Visit Hamilton About the role As a Registered Enrolled Nurse Student, you will support our Registered and Enrolled Nurses in the delivery of resident care whilst studying towards your Diploma of Nursing.
Under the direction and supervision of the registered/enrolled nurse and in accordance with the resident's plan of care some of the tasks you will be undertaking include: Assist the registered /enrolled nurse in routine tasks with residents associated with activities of daily living, including assistance with: personal hygiene needs nutrition needs mobility needs elimination needs Perform a range of duties that require basic skills, knowledge, training and experience.
Routine support functions such as making beds, keeping the environment tidy, re-stocking or collecting equipment or supplies.
Providing person centred care.
As a vital member of the team, the Registered Enrolled Nurse Student will be allocated to an aged care facility and will work under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager of the facility.

Selection Criteria You have been offered a place at SWTAFE Hamilton Campus to commence the Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) or are currently studying the SWTAFE Diploma of Nursing.

You are self-motivated and willing to undertake further studies towards your nursing career.
You have well-developed written and verbal, communication skills.
