Each year we attend to over 300,000people across the state and teach over 310,000 people first aidskills.A job to be proud of:The Country Ambulance Service is in search of a motivatedprofessional to coordinate the delivery of training in accordancewith the training plan and strategy directed by the VolunteerEducation team.Based in Albany, this role ensures that the workforce andvolunteers in the Great Southern region maintain an adequate levelof skill to enable them to perform their designated functions.A key requirement of the role will be to communicate, influenceand network between volunteer sub-centres, the regional officeand Volunteer Education for the development and enhancement ofSt John Ambulance WA training strategies. The ideal candidate willhave an excellent work ethic and be able to travel within the GreatSouthern region. In addition an applicant will be highlyregarded if they have had exposure to emergency management in theregion.What you’ll do: Facilitate volunteer ambulance officer trainer accreditation and qualifications in line with Volunteer Education requirements Work closely with the Volunteer Education team to develop regional capacity to deliver appropriate training. This capacity will include: trainers seconded to Volunteer Education when available, resources within volunteer sub-centres, community paramedics, ambulance paramedics and contracted training providers Promote and support the consistent and accurate use of approved training packages/programs in the provision of training to volunteer ambulance officers Work closely with Volunteer Education, sub-centres and the Regional Office to coordinate the delivery of training according to the training plan To contribute to the development and enhancement of our training strategiesWhat you’ll need: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with an excellent work ethic and work history Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to demonstrate initiative Effective time-management and planning skills Experience working with volunteers Ability to work as part of a team Accurate data collection and management Understanding of vocational education or training environmentWhat’s in it for you?
