Regional Health and Safety ManagerMcConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust.) Pty Ltd are currently recruiting for a Regional Health and Safety Manager to join the team. Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager, the position will cover our QLD/NT and NSW/ACT regions. The successful candidate will enjoy wide support from a broader team of highly experienced safety professionals.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing Health & Safety management support to both our current operational construction projects and the Health and Safety teams across our projects and tenders. Responsibilities include:Ensuring Health & Safety management of Regional Operations and the Project is effectively implemented to achieve compliance with MMS / PMP, legislation, standards, and codes of practice.Providing effective and practical advice, development, and mentoring of Project Health & Safety teams to enable independence and capability in the safe delivery of our Projects.Deliver the H&S direction, strategy, and implementation across the Region in accordance with the Region Business Plan.Deliver legal compliance and management insight.Ensure the consistent, coordinated, and effective approach to Health and Safety across the region.Ensure continual improvement in Health & Safety performance year on year.About YouTo be successful in this role you will need the following:Minimum of 10 years operational experience in the application of safety management principles in the construction industry.Hold a minimum of Diploma in OHS qualification.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, preferably with stand-up training experience.Competent user of in-house software, with working knowledge of wider applications.Experience in investigating and reporting safety incidents.Working knowledge of risk assessment and audit procedures.About UsMcConnell Dowell – Creative ConstructionOur purpose is Providing a Better Life.
