This is a pivotal role requiring both technical expertise and leadership skills.
You will have the opportunity to shape the University's security infrastructure by identifying and addressing security gaps, automating processes, and driving continuous improvement.

As the key technical lead, you will mentor junior team members, influence stakeholders, and ensure our security systems are constantly evolving to meet emerging threats and changing requirements.

About You
You are an experienced Cyber Security Engineer with a strong background in cyber security systems administration and engineering.

You will have significant experience with key technologies such as AARNET / Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, and Microsoft Defender, and be adept at managing both Linux and Windows Server environments.

With a solid understanding of enterprise systems and security frameworks, you will bring strong communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your ability to automate and optimise security processes, along with your leadership capabilities in guiding and mentoring teams, will be essential to your success in this role.
