Western's Translational Health Research Institute (THRI) are seeking an Associate Research Fellow to join the team.
This opportunity involves working on two significant research studies funded by the Western Sydney Local Health District; "Evaluation of Medical and Forensic Clinical Placement and Support Program (ME)" and the "Evaluation of the Campbelltown Emergency Department Domestic Violence Model of Medical Care (Campbelltown ED),".
As an Associate Research Fellow, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, facilitating data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings for these crucial studies.
You will work under the guidance of experienced academic staff, gaining increasing autonomy as you develop your skills and expertise.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the teaching efforts of the institution and to advance your scholarly and professional expertise in health service research.
Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the success of the ME and Campbelltown ED projects.
You will conduct mixed-methods investigations for the ME study, providing a comprehensive evaluation of the program, including insights from placement site staff and outcomes for the regional Local Health Districts.
For the Campbelltown ED study, you will prepare the Human Research Ethics Committee application, conduct interviews and surveys, and compile a thorough evaluation using all collected data.
Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports documenting research activities, participate in student research supervision and mentoring, and ensure appropriate management of project research data.
This is a part-time 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE), fixed-term opportunity for 12 months.
You will be based at Campbelltown Campus, although travel to campuses of the University may be required.

About You You hold a higher degree in psychology, social science, public health, or a related health research discipline.
Your expertise in mixed-methods research design and analysis is well-established, and you have a proven track record of writing comprehensive reports, peer-reviewed publications, and delivering engaging conference presentations.
You have exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to work effectively and collegially within a team.
You are highly organised, adept at meeting milestones and deadlines, and have a passion for contributing to the training and development of Honours and Higher Degree Research students.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level A $65,917 to $79,638 p.a.
