The Opportunity
Are you an organised professional who is passionate about contributing to an enriching educational environment?
The School of Psychology is looking for a Business Administrative Officer to join the team and support the efficient operation of our School.
Reporting to the School Manager, you will collaborate with other professional staff to provide high-level administrative support and leadership within our Professional Team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in managing workforce and student-load planning, ensuring that resources are adequately provided for future teaching sessions.
You will also support the efficient management of the Psychological Test Library and provide assistance to the Psychology Clinic as needed.
Additionally, you will oversee the SONA Research Participation system.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the School Manager in the effective and efficient execution of administrative tasks.
Supervising administrative staff.
Preparing school-related documentation using various software applications.
Providing general administrative support by accessing data from University-wide and School-based systems to aid in teaching, learning, research, and community engagement activities.
Ensuring compliance with University presentation standards and protocols.
Drafting and producing correspondence, managing records, and initiating school maintenance requests.
Managing employment processes for casual academics and professional staff.
Coordinating secretarial support for School meetings and events.
Engaging in professional training activities to keep your skills current.
Assisting with budget tracking, coordinating operational and system requirements, managing purchasing needs, and overseeing asset register coordination and facility management.
This is a full-time ongoing position with campus location negotiable on appointment to either Bankstown City, Kingswood or Parramatta; however, you will be required to frequently travel to the other campuses to fulfil the requirements of your position.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a relevant qualification or equivalent administrative training and experience.
Familiarity with WSU policies, procedures and ensuring adherence to school-related policies and guidelines is essential.
You have a proven track record in monitoring and reconciling financial transactions.
Your well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills enable you to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You are known for your ability to lead and implement business improvement strategies, monitor workflows and meet deadlines.
Your analytical and problem-solving skills are exceptional, and you consistently demonstrate initiative in all your endeavours.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $121,056 to $130,572 p.a.
(comprising Salary of $102,294 to $110,335 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
