The Environmental Management program aims to deliver the sustainable use, protection and management of natural and cultural resources in the Torres Strait Region.
This is achieved largely through the work of Rangers on country who work closely with Traditional owners and relevant PBCs.

Rangers work throughout their Islands land and sea country and are required to carry out strenuous outdoor activities on a regular basis.
These activities include but are not limited to work carried out on both inhabited and uninhabited islands and sea country throughout the Torres Strait Region.
