Remote is seeking a Radio Frequency Technologist to join the team in ASD. The Radio Frequency Technologist will work across a variety of disciplines including RF hardware design, software configuration, testing, and completing systems engineering documentation and procedures. They will support team members in their area of expertise and share knowledge to improve staff understanding. (LH-03279)
Role Description Key duties and responsibilities: Undertake the design, integration, testing, and documentation of engineering subsystems. Plan, design, manage, execute, and report on tests and test procedures using appropriate testing tools and techniques. Produce technical documentation. Conduct testing and fault finding using electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) of RF communications systems and components. Assist in continuous improvement by developing and enhancing procedures. Perform design reviews with guidance. Technical Skills Knowledge of coaxial, optical, and signaling cabling. DESN 4: Design system components using appropriate modeling techniques following standards and methodologies. Evaluate design options, create multiple views for stakeholders, model or simulate components, produce detailed specifications, and review own designs. RFEN 4: Investigate and resolve system faults, reconfigure equipment, specify and integrate RF devices, define communication protocols, and optimize performance. TEST 3: Design detailed test cases and scripts, participate in reviews, perform exploratory testing, prepare test data, automate tests, execute tests, log defects, and analyze results.
