We have an exciting temporary part-time (0.5FTE) Senior Tutor position available until 27 June 2025 (unless otherwise determined) to join our Horticulture team at TAFE Queensland working across the Grovely and Mount Gravatt Campuses.
As a Senior Tutor, you will support students and teachers in various learning environments, including on-campus Horticultural training. You will facilitate skill development, provide guidance and feedback, and assist in collecting assessment evidence under a teacher's direction.
This role allows you to influence future industry professionals by sharing your extensive knowledge in classroom and educational settings. You will also find satisfaction in equipping students from diverse backgrounds with the skills they need to succeed in their careers and future endeavours.
This position reports to the Educational Team Leader.
Salary
The salary range for a Senior Tutor is $77,166.89 - $80,378.48 (gross) per annum (pro rata), depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.

Applicants must possess the following:
Possession of a Vocational competency at least to the level of the unit/s of competency that tutorial support is being provided:
Certificate III in Horticulture; or
Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management; or
Certificate III in Sports Turf Management; or
Certificate III in Parks and Gardens; and Current industry skills directly relevant to the Tutorial support being provided; and One (1) of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:
TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or
TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or
A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (Refer to the Approved Higher Level Qualifications in Adult Education Fact Sheet). Current knowledge and skills in vocational training, learning and assessment that informs their practice, gained through ongoing professional development.
