Quantitative Risk Lead - Credit DecisionToyota Finance Australia (TFA) is the country's largest automotive financier.

While we work closely together, TMCA focuses on vehicles and here at Toyota Finance Australia our priority is to provide finance, insurance and fleet management.
What you'll contribute to The Quantitative Risk Lead plays a critical role in enhancing TFA's ability to manage financial risk effectively.
Their main contributions include developing and refining predictive models to assess creditworthiness, ensuring a robust model monitoring process and assisting the Credit Risk team in optimising their credit assessment rules, collections strategies and providing strategic insights to enhance risk management processes.
How you'll make an impact Manage existing Retail application scorecards, fraud scorecards, and collection models, including ongoing monitoring, regular model review, continuous improvement, and model change management.Lead the model development projects on credit scoring across consumer and commercial products to enhance credit decision making at origination, as well as optimize collections and recovery activities.Partner with Credit Risk teams to support credit strategies change of using the new models or model changes through impact analysis, score cut-off design, as well as preparing policy options/changes/recommendations based on analytics and/or regulatory requirements.Provide analytical expertise and support by participating in credit decision model implementation and testing.Provide appropriate advice and support to the Risk Management teams including attendance at internal and external meetings, by leveraging demonstrated experience of statistical / economic / financial modelling theory with proven quantitative / empirical analytical or modelling aptitude, as well as a deep risk and business knowledge.Work with TFA internal quantitative teams or external relationships for an independent model review/validation, to demonstrate model fit-for-purpose.Support the Quantitative Risk team to manage/maintain other credit risk models such as credit provision model, loss forecasting, stress testing, etc.Your attributes Educated to a degree level in quantitative disciplines such as statistics, finance, engineering, mathematics etc.Over 5 years' experience in credit risk modelling, credit reporting, or credit risk analyticsStrong operational knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, SAS, and RUnderstanding of cloud services such as DatabricksStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong capabilities to articulate complex analytical informationExperience in scoping/running analytics projectsAbility to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlinesGood commercial business acumenLife at Toyota & What we offer you We pride ourselves on a work culture that supports and rewards people.
