The purpose The Quality Lead will play a crucial role in the project by providing strong leadership and guidance in all aspects of quality management. This role is responsible for ensuring that all quality activities meet the highest standards, aligning with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and stakeholder expectations. The Quality Lead will oversee quality management throughout the project lifecycle, driving continuous improvement and ensuring timely resolution of corrective actions, non-conformances, and witness/hold points. This includes leading and mentoring Quality Advisors and working closely with contractors and key stakeholders to uphold high standards in construction and operations.
The role Based on the Sunshine Coast, the key responsibilities include leading the development and execution of quality inspection plans, ensuring accurate progress tracking and reporting. You will ensure all contractor documentation meets project requirements and Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs), overseeing and approving plans and vendor records to ensure compliance with standards.
The role involves reporting on overall quality performance, addressing issues promptly, and collaborating with stakeholders to uphold quality standards. You will enforce adherence to tools and processes, including Corrective Action Notices (CANs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution of CANs raised by Queensland Hydro. Additionally, you will oversee the inspection and testing of construction activities, ensuring traceability and timely handover of final deliverables, while leading a high-performing team of Quality Advisors.
About you You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with over 7 years of experience in quality control, particularly in monitoring Quality Management Systems on large infrastructure projects. Experience with hydroelectric projects is a plus along with a solid understanding of quality principles and methodologies, with the ability to analyze quality metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Your expertise includes knowledge of international standards like ISO 9001 and proficiency in systems applications such as In Eight and Team Binder.
