You will liaise with production, hygiene and engineering throughout the shift to ensure that technical issues and non-conformances are understood and necessary actions are taken. You will also identify trends and ongoing issues and discuss these with the QA and Technical Manager.Key Responsibilities:Manage small team of QAs during shift.Manage staff discipline, work performance and absence issues.Ensure appropriate skill levels are maintained within the team.Responsible for rejection of non-conforming product and communication thereof to all relevant managers and stock control.Ensure all non-conformances and issues raised by the team during the shift are followed up by reviewing or re-auditing with the QAs to ensure satisfactory corrective action has been taken.Identify, highlight and communicate reoccurring issues or issues not satisfactorily addressed within agreed timescales to QA manager and Technical Manager.The Ideal CandidateWe believe that success is built upon collaboration and diverse perspectives. As a valued member of our team, you will bring the following skills and experience:Minimum requirement is Advanced food hygiene; a degree in a relevant subject would be an advantage but is not essential.RIPH level 2 or equivalent Intermediate Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles is desirable.Experience in a technical role within food manufacturing (preferably chilled but not essential).Good IT knowledge.Competent in written English and Maths.We also want you to thrive in an engaging and inclusive work culture where you will have the opportunity to take on personal accountability and take pride in your work.
