With the recent purchase of a 30% stake in the Alta Mesa Uranium Project in South Texas USA, Boss Energy has reaffirmed its vision to become a global uranium supplier.About the RoleWe are seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage efficient procurement across the company, overseeing daily transactions and supporting warehouse and maintenance needs. Key responsibilities include vendor management, inventory control, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services at the right quality, quantity, and cost. This role is based in our modern Adelaide CBD office and reports to the Procurement and Contracts Superintendent.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and ensure purchase requisition details are entered correctly, i.e., appropriate vendor selection to minimise off contract spend, correct account codes used, unit of measure, quantities and shipping details.Convert approved purchase requisitions which have been reviewed and comply with BOE procurement policies into purchase orders in a timely and regular manner.Expediting overdue and urgent orders.Investigate purchase price variance discrepancies and resolve.Assist warehouse team with quantity received discrepancies.Tracking international inbound shipments and providing custom clearance administration support.Maintaining inventory item lead times in Pronto.Adding and maintaining blanket order pricing agreements in Pronto.Performing warehouse replenishment orders across min/max inventory items.Collaborating with Maintenance Planners with adding and removing warehouse inventory items.Negotiating low value low risk purchase contracts aligned with Procurement business objectives.Supporting Contracts & Procurement Superintendent with administrative tasks.Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.About YouYou will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:Extensive proven experience as a purchasing officer, preferably in resource industry.Experience in consumable spare parts management and rotable spares management.Solid understanding and knowledge of procure to pay systems and procedures.Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
