Your role: As a Psychologist, your skills and understanding of human behaviour will be highly valued across a wide range of defence contexts including mental health settings, recruitment and selection, training and human factors, organisational systems, and testing and measurement. With new initiatives in resilience and human performance offering opportunities for psychologists to develop expertise, the ADF's demand for psychologists' skills continues to grow. Your Military duties include, but aren't limited to: selection interviewing mental health screening occupational assessment psychological assessment mental health intervention in both posted and operational environments to members of all 3 Services (Navy, Army and Air Force). Salary: On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn $113,993 per annum, depending on your qualifications, plus generous super. Location: Following your initial military training in Canberra and Albury/Wodonga NSW/VIC, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. Army Psychologists are positioned primarily throughout most capital cities and a newly appointed officer could normally expect to start their career in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Townsville, Darwin or Wagga Wagga. Psychologists are also located in many other military locations throughout Australia.
