About your opportunity: In this position, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based clinical services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, and evaluation, to consumers of the Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service. You will provide an advanced level of operational, clinical, and professionally strategic leadership, in partnership with the stream-specific Operations Manager/Director of Allied Health - MHAODS. Maintain and support reporting lines to the MHAODS Service Director and Clinical Director to manage delivery of clinical services within a quality improvement framework, in a complex and varied environment across a multi-speciality team.

Coordinate, formulate, and direct policies relating to the provision of integrated mental health and addictions care or disciplinary specific services which includes integration of consumer care across the continuum of care. Ensure consumers and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds. Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to consumer safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives. Provide operational leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of local programs, policies, procedures, and protocols, aligned with Hospital and Health Service and State-wide Mental Health priorities and National Standards, enhancing service delivery and coordination across the Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service network.
