About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Project Technical Officer to support the delivery of a major ICT project for a distinguished division. As the Project Technical Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless technical support during the project's change management and transition phases until it becomes a part of Business as Usual (BAU) upon project closure. Your role will involve completing all project tasks within set deadlines while maintaining the highest standards and quality.
Key responsibilities include: Investigating and resolving technical issues, including logging, diagnosing, and resolving problems under the guidance of the project team.Applying structured analysis and creative problem-solving approaches to resolve complex issues within tight deadlines.Identifying and applying appropriate documentation and ensuring it meets the required standards and quality.Supporting logistics and cargo preparation within the technical environment.Assisting with the Test and Train environments to facilitate system deployments and enhancements.Implementing new infrastructure, technology acquisitions, software solutions, and upgrades under the project team's supervision.Maintaining inventories, including Documentation, Design Library, Software Assets, Hardware Assets, Communication Systems, Integration Interfaces, etc.Ensuring adherence to ICT security requirements at all times.About YouTo excel in this role, you will need:
Proven experience in a project technical officer or engineer within ICT projects.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex issues creatively.Exposure to infrastructure, hardware installation and maintenance.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.Familiarity with logistics and cargo preparation in a technical setting.Experience with RF, 4G LTE, or Satellite communications systems equipment and installation.Knowledge of implementing and upgrading infrastructure and technology solutions.A thorough understanding of ICT security requirements.Must hold Baseline Clearance or be willing to obtain.If you are a proactive and skilled technical professional looking to contribute to a significant project within a dynamic government department, we would love to hear from you.
