Moec Pty Ltd is a growing construction contractor that offers pipeline construction and gas gathering services to our clients in the Mining and Oil & Gas Industries in the Surat and Bowen Basin and other sites across Australia.
We are dedicated to achieving high standards of work with a focus on health, safety, environment, and quality.
We are looking for a qualified Scheduler with Gas Gathering, Piping, or Buried Services Experience to work on our HDPE Gas Gathering Project in the Surat Basin.
This includes Civil, Welding, Live Excavations, Tie-ins, Testing, and Commissioning.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our on-site project crew with, but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:Master Schedule Management: Develop and maintain the master project schedule for our ongoing construction projects.Progress Tracking: Collaborate with project teams to gather weekly progress updates and incorporate them into the schedule.Schedule Analysis: Identify potential delays, critical path changes, and schedule slippages.
Proactively communicate these findings to the Project Manager.Lookahead Planning: Create short-term lookahead schedules to guide on-site construction activities and resource allocation.Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential schedule risks related to weather, resource availability, and construction methods.Reporting: Provide clear and concise reports to Project Managers on schedule status, performance metrics, and potential issues.Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to improve scheduling processes, project systems, and overall efficiency.Detailed Planning: Create detailed work plans for maintenance activities, ensuring safety and efficiency.Cost Control: Evaluate work scopes and vendor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness and budget adherence.Compliance: Monitor compliance with established work management procedures.Contractor Management: Organise and manage on-site contractors as needed.Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.To be successful, you'll need:
Technical Skills:Proven experience as a Scheduler in the construction industry.Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).Soft Skills:Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Experience in the Mining or Gas Gathering sector.Experience with project management methodologies.Proficiency in additional industry-specific software programs.Additional Requirements:A current driver's license and white card.Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety procedures.Availability to start work in the next 2-4 weeks and pass a pre-employment medical.Roster: 18 days on, 10 days off (paid travel on day 1 and day 10 of RnR).
