It's all part of the way we partner with the community to help every individual lead a healthy life.About the role:Fixed-Term position until 30 June 2025.The Project Officer, Complex Needs works closely with the Senior Adviser, Complex Needs, the Program Manager, Complex Needs, and a Deputy Chief Psychiatrist to convene the State-wide Complex Needs Advisory Panel.The role will provide secretariate support including corresponding with panel members, preparing the minutes of panels, consults and case conferences.The role will provide support to the Program Manager, Complex Needs to prepare the panel end of year report, collect and collate data, and other administrative and project related tasks as directed.How you'll make a difference:Support the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist to convene the State-wide Complex Needs Advisory Panel (SCNAP).Undertake the SCNAP secretariate role including preparing the monthly agenda and minutes.Support the Program Manager, Complex Needs to prepare and present comprehensive reports, presentations, the SCNAP annual report, discussion papers, and ministerial briefs on complex mental health matters related to the functions of the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist.Understand and document service delivery issues, risks and trends impacting on individuals with complex needs.Support the Program Manager, Complex Needs to collect and collate data relating to the functions of the Complex Needs Team.Able to prepare complex summaries, minutes, briefs, letters, emails, and reports using clear, concise, and grammatically correct language and ensures that appropriate style and formats are used.Establish and maintain effective working relationships and facilitate collaboration across the department and with key external stakeholders.Work across multiple projects, including engaging with stakeholders, and working in multidisciplinary teams to meet emerging pressures and demands, as required.Under the direction of the Chief Psychiatrist, provide expert advice on complex matters and consult with consumers, carers, service providers, government and non-government agencies, professional bodies, and other stakeholders, in generating solutions to issues pertaining to mental health service delivery.Contribute to and support activities and projects that aim to improve the quality and safety of mental health services and health service providers.Undertake high-level research into service delivery issues, risks and trends impacting on achieving quality service provision, policy initiatives and operational imperatives.What we offer:The opportunity to perform meaningful work, making direct contributions toward enabling Victorians to be the healthiest people in the world.A wide range of growth and development opportunities within the department and wider Victorian Public Service & Sector.A strong commitment to work-life balance, including a diverse array of flexible working arrangements.How to apply:Applications should include a resume and a cover letter.
