The work of the group supports the emergency management sector to work together and to strengthen the capacity of individuals, communities, government, agencies and business to achieve our shared vision of safer and more resilient communities and to rebuild and recover after an emergency.What does the business unit do?Emergency Management Technology and Data is responsible for national and state technology platforms that enable communications from the community, communications to the community, sector operational communications and sector information systems. This includes delivering the following key functions:Strategy & Enterprise ArchitectureInvestment PlanningSupport & DevelopmentWhat will the role do?Lead, manage and deliver the upgrade of the Supplementary Emergency Alerting and Response Service application for the Emergency Services Organisation customers.Manage review and approval of service provider/vendor project and technical deliverables.Manage project registers, plans, schedules and delivery compliance.Manage project control groups, including development and presentation of material.Maintain high quality communication with key stakeholders.What skills and knowledge should the Project Manager, Supplementary Emergency Alerting and Response Service (SEARS) have?Demonstrated 'hands on' experience in managing and delivering the implementation of large-scale technology projects through the full project management life cycle, as an outsourced service delivery and/or commercially provided private networks.Experience working in a commercially sensitive environment where confidentiality of information is of utmost importance.Demonstrated knowledge of project/program delivery including financial and status reporting as well as proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project and Microsoft 365.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the telecommunications industry in Australia.Knowledge of emergency operational communications and/or emergency services sector (will be highly regarded).Application development and lifecycle management experience (will be highly regarded).If this sounds like a compelling job that you believe your skills would be a great match for, please APPLY NOW.
