My client is a key government body responsible for administering critical legislation aimed at reducing carbon emissions and increasing the use of clean energy. They oversee national schemes like the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme, the Emissions Reduction Fund, the Renewable Energy Target, and the Australian National Registry of Emissions Units.
We are looking for skilled 1x Project Manager and 1 x Program Manager to support their Change Program. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Australia's transition to a clean energy future, working within an innovative and forward-thinking public sector environment.
1 x Project Manager Key Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality outcomes, using Agile methodologies, to support their Change Program.Develop and maintain detailed project documentation (including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements) aligned with their strategic objectives.Identify and manage risks, developing effective strategies for mitigation.Ensure that project teams have the necessary tools and resources to perform effectively and efficiently.Serve as a liaison between technical teams, product managers, program management, and executive stakeholders to ensure alignment across the project.Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, contractors, and scheme participants.Key Capabilities:Experience/understanding in Change Management is a MUST.Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering outcomes using Agile methodologies in complex and dynamic environments.Expertise in developing and executing project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource management.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop effective mitigation strategies.Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a culture of innovation and agility within teams.Understanding (or ability to quickly acquire knowledge) of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in a public sector context.1 x Program Manager Key Responsibilities:Continuously monitor program progress, manage schedule data, and update schedules as needed.Ensure the program schedule aligns with program scope, objectives, and prioritisation and scope decisions.Analyse critical paths and identify and communicate potential risks, delays, and mitigation strategies.Collaborate with project staff to develop contingency plans or other materials for potential delays and/or executive decisions.Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, including internal staff and contractors.Ensure program documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.Prepare reporting and briefing materials for senior officers and agency committees and ensure they meet quality standards and comply with relevant policies and procedures.Provide regular updates on program schedule status, highlighting any deviations from original plans.Key Capabilities:Experience/understanding in Change Management would be a strong advantage.Demonstrated experience in program management and adapting to changes in program priorities and scope.Demonstrated ability to solve problems and think analytically along with organisational, program and time management skills.Scheduling, data analysis and reporting skills and experience in a government program management operating environment.Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to manage program risks, issues, and dependencies, and to develop strategies and contingency plans to mitigate them.Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning, and the ability to promote a positive culture of innovation and agility within teams.Ability to acquire understanding of relevant policies and procedures, and to ensure Change Program deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.What These Jobs Offer:The opportunity to play a critical role in supporting Australia's transition to clean energy.Work in a dynamic and fast-paced public sector environment, supporting the achievement of national emissions reduction goals.A collaborative, innovative, and agile team culture.Competitive salary and benefits package.Please note that only Australian CITIZEN with Baseline Clearance would be considered for this role.
