This could be your next big adventure!ABOUT THE POSITION:The position is accountable for developing, managing and delivering the complete life cycle of strategic capital works projects from commencement to completion, commissioning and handover. The projects are part of a broader program of improvement and upgrade works of MV's facilities. Projects may also be part of a broader program of business and project management improvement activities. The position will operate within MV policies and procedures and to broader Victorian Government procurement policies.Some of the key duties include:Work with MV executive, managers, staff and stakeholders to develop project scope documents, project management plans, stakeholder engagement plans, project design briefs, project budget tracking spreadsheets, and risk registers for strategic capital works projects to align MV's facilities, spaces, public exhibitions and offerings with long-term strategic service delivery objectives.Procure, engage and manage consultants to ensure they are delivering their scope of services and performing as expected, including meeting all project delivery timelines.Prepare documents, correspondence, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and action items for project delivery teams, project governance groups, consultants, and MV stakeholder meetings.Project manage quotation and tender processes, procurement management plans and documentation, manage evaluation panel meetings, and produce evaluation reports for management review and approval.The successful applicant will have:Project Management experience in delivering multiple, concurrent, complex, high-profile capital works projects within occupied facilities, and within agreed timeframes and budgets.Proficient in project management methodology, project coordination and management, including the ability to plan and deliver projects effectively and achieve specified outcomes preferably in a government environment.Proficient in project financial, cost, and budget management including tracking and reporting.Proven ability to manage staff contributors, stakeholders, and financial resources, including generating regular project progress reports.Demonstrated ability to develop high quality written and verbal communications, including formal correspondence and technical reports, as well as to non-specialists stakeholders.OTHER INFORMATIONThis is a full-time, fixed term till June 2026.
