Urban CGI is an Australian-founded and internationally expanding technology solutions company that transforms design, training and projects using CGI simulation.
Training Simulation – convert procedures, inductions and competencies into LMS linked, micro-credentialled, interactive CGI training sims for high retention, efficiency and engagement.
Project Simulation – build CGI sims to make design projects move faster with assured validation, verification, integration, operations, construction, engagement and approvals.

We have been in business for 20 years working with Tier 1 clients on complex projects to solve wicked problems across infrastructure, mining, rail, for design and training scenarios.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who will be responsible and accountable for project delivery within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project and Program Management: Oversee the daily management and reporting of projects and programs.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with multiple clients.
Process Improvement: Continuously enhance and streamline project processes for optimal efficiency.
Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer outcomes.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team by providing insights and reviewing work, while identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this remote-based role is pivotal in ensuring project success and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to meet project goals.
Manage projects from concept through to completion, developing estimates and plans based on requirements, budget, and timeline.
Manage content production – e.g. product demos, eLearners, 3D renders, etc. – from initial briefing through execution.
Establish and manage the project process from initiation to closure, ensuring quality standards and client satisfaction.
Identify and manage risks proactively, resolving issues swiftly.
Provide leadership to project teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
Prepare and monitor project schedules, scope, and budgets, making adjustments as needed.
Manage team workload and morale, assign tasks, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.
Deliver regular project status reports to clients, management, and teams.
Organize and lead project meetings to facilitate communication and collaboration.
Evaluate project processes and outcomes, seeking continuous improvement.
Review and enhance the existing project management framework.
Support the sales team in progressing opportunities through the pipeline.
Monitor budgets, costs, and staff timesheets for project billability.
Ensure complete data maintenance across the project lifecycle.
Perform project handovers and budget analysis upon project completion.
Implement system and process improvements under the commercial team's direction.
Skills and Requirements:
5+ years' experience proven work experience as a Project Manager.
Bachelor's degree holder in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects across different customers.
Strong project management skills, including the use of project management software.
Strong content production/producer experience, ideally in 3D/CGI technology.
Ability to work during Australian business hours.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
Knowledge of digital technologies, tools, and trends.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Rail industry experience and knowledge would be highly advantageous.
PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
