The Community Corrections and Specialist Operations Command (CCSO) division is undertaking significant transformational change and project delivery.
The CCSO program management office (PMO) has been established to enhance CCSO project and program management capabilities, support successful execution of projects within the remit of CCSO, and align associated project efforts with strategic goals.
This role will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of Community Corrections and Specialist Operations service delivery enhancement projects across four key project streams: High Risk High Harm Cohort, Offender Management, Workforce Management, and Outsourced Service Delivery.
The essential requirements for this role are: Knowledge of and ability to apply project management methodology.High level interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate with and influence others on sensitive and complex issues.Proven experience of leadership in a program/project environment.Highly developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large, complex data to support effective project delivery.Skills and experience in the preparation of reports and executive documentation within a government framework.Demonstrated communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues.Problem solving and analytical skills for investigating and resolving systems problems, and for improving work practices and reporting procedures.Research and analytical skills for investigating issues and analysing trends associated with corrections.Organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, coordinate activities and meet deadlines.Detailed and current knowledge of Government and Agency directions, objectives, policies and procedures, as well as a sound knowledge of relevant legislative and statutory requirements, particularly related to Probation and Parole.People from diverse backgrounds including non-English speaking backgrounds, people with a disability, women, Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
