Job DescriptionPURPOSE Create and develop relationships supportive of the Baker Group mission statement with employees, internal and external customers. Additionally, provide opportunities to increase business unit revenues by marketing and cross-selling products and services provided by Baker Group. This includes, but is not limited to, temperature controls and security systems. Manage projects from design to owner training, ensuring all facets are aligned. Maintain and grow the 'Customer for Life' concept for existing and new customers.
Provide sales support as needed to secure potential sales, review estimates, initiate sales/operations turnovers, document scope, review control submittals and re-estimates, assist in scheduling and revenue forecasting. Price all change orders to meet customer labor rates and markups. Review and set goals for operations team members. Responsible for project execution coordination, documentation, financials, and customer satisfaction. Perform related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are typical for this job. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Understand building automation systems.Offer and implement solutions to customers through engineering and field personnel.Develop relationships with existing customers and pursue long-term revenue opportunities, including cross-selling and cold calling.Educate customers on Baker Group capabilities, including building automation and other business units.Develop solutions using internal estimating software and standard product selections, reviewing solutions with team members before submission.Act as account manager or single point of contact during project execution.Assist with scheduling field labor in meetings with Operations Manager.Participate in project meetings, providing communication on requests, proposals, coordination, and reviews.Initiate turnover meetings discussing project scope, safety, timelines, etc.Procure subcontracts for installation, using documented formats for bids.Use standard documents for business development, proposals, turnovers, subcontracts, purchase orders, and warranties.Manage projects to ensure financial success.Accurate daily reporting of time and equipment.MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Engineering.Experience in Automation and HVAC systems.Experience in estimating and managing automation projects, and developing customer relationships.Willing to travel and/or relocate.Successfully pass drug test and background check.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid driver's license with a good driving record.MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIESEntrepreneurial spirit.Positive attitude.Team player, collaborative.Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships.Effective communication skills.Knowledge of building automation systems.ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITYMay be exposed to normal office conditions.
