The role also drives Product Care project planning and management of existing products in terms of cost reduction, quality improvement and technical support to its competence factory on product-related problems.What you'll do :Investigate and implement projects to improve the quality of the manufactured products, maximize the customer experience and reduce the Service Call Rate and warranty costs.Investigate and implement projects to reduce product costs, maintaining the requested level of quality.Provide Industrial Operations with technical support and design changes to guarantee production continuity.Assist the factory in rework reduction and obsolete parts reuse.Lead Engineering Changes projects, from project definition to approval of solutions for mass production and beyond, including fitting into the platform and subsystem structure and defining inputs for Bill of Material (BoM) and other related documentation.Support to improve manufacturability and productivity, contributing to upgrade component and product specifications.Prepare and manage project progress tracking, timing plans, risk assessments and reporting of project status.Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify risks that might affect the project, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.Organize tests and pilot series with the Production.Report in Check Point meetings / Steering Team when needed.Drive standardization and continuous improvement in own competence area.Core CompetenciesBachelor's degree in engineering or related fieldBasic Project Management skillsFamiliar with PMI (Project Management Institute) terminology and basic toolsKnowledge in mechanical component and system development and 3D design tool (CATIA is preferred)Good problem-solving skillsStrong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teamsAbility to work in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality, ability to take initiative and be proactive, work in an international environment.Experience in Design for Assembling and ManufacturingKnowledge of the main manufacturing processes (metal forming, injection moulding, die casting) and assembling.Knowledge of quality tools (FMEAs)CAE knowledgeYou will be based in our Dudley Park, Adelaide manufacturing facility, within the Research and Development team.Why work for Electrolux?Global Leader of Home AppliancesProud to be the only white goods manufacturer with a manufacturing of cooking appliances in AustraliaStaff, Friends & Family DiscountsFree Secure Parking OnsiteCARE Day (additional leave)Health and Well-being initiativesAnnual flu shots onsite + wellbeing sessions & webinarsContinued Progress on Diversity & InclusionLiving our Sustainability CommitmentAs part of the Electrolux Group, we will continuously invest in you and your development.
