BG&E operates in 15 locations throughout Australia, New Zealand, London, Singapore, Philippines, and the Middle East.About the roleAs the Project Financial Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers with the financial activities and functions of projects to ensure that the goals and objectives specified for the project are accomplished in an accurate and efficient manner. It will be critical that you can support Project Managers to ensure that compliance with BG&E systems and processes, and project contractual matters, are met. Please note this is a Melbourne based fixed-term parental leave cover.Working as part of a highly collaborative team, your main responsibilities will include:Project maintenance within our database including but not limited to:Project/Task Setups.Assisting with the Tracking of Project Variations.Assisting with Resourcing requirements of projects.Invoicing, both generating and following up on debtors.Timesheet approvals & Time Reporting.Managing flow of subconsultant invoices.End of Month Closure Activities (including report preparation and meetings).Assisting internal and external clients with project specific inquiries.Training staff where appropriate on systems/processes and project management issues.Essential to this position you will have:3+ years financial experience (whether AP/AR or a role in the Finance Industry).Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a preference within the office for face-to-face support where possible.Strong time management skills to work to set deadlines.Ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload.Exceptionally high attention to detail.Candidates who have completed or are working towards a tertiary qualification in a related qualification will be viewed favourably. Previous experience in an Engineering firm or professional services, with familiarity with BST would be beneficial, but not essential.
