About the role:
This is an opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join our collaborative, experienced team in the ACT, where you will work on one of our complex water projects with heavy environmental considerations. Whether you bring water-specific experience or a general civil infrastructure background, you'll have the opportunity to expand your expertise and make a meaningful impact within our team.
Plan, implement, and manage solutions to benefit the environment, client and SWC. Ensure communication and compliance with all Project Environmental Legal and Other Obligations. Support the construction team during the project start-up phase with the preparation and implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP), sub-plans, environmental procedures, and environmental construction/work method statements. Coordinating the environmental approval process for the project. Undertake audits of the CEMP, Sub-plans, EOPs, SWMS and other environmental documentation during the construction phase. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
A relevant degree in Environmental Engineering, Planning or Science. Minimum 5 years in environmental project management within civil construction. Excellent attention to detail with up-to-date knowledge of all relevant state and Commonwealth statutory environmental and planning requirements. Experience in implementing and managing Construction Environmental Management Plans and procedures.
