About the role We are looking for a suitably experienced Project Engineer to join our Project Delivery team preferably based in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth. This team is tasked with delivery of projects from pre-works (including procurement and fabrication) through to commissioning and handover. The Project Engineer takes responsibility for all scope, battery limits and interfaces during the procurement, construction and commissioning phases of the project. This role plays a key part in the quality control of fabrication and installation activities. The Project Engineer also manages the commissioning phase.  Collaboration and communication are key to our culture, and we value interpersonal skills and teamwork as highly as we do attention to detail and an ability to meet demanding deadlines. You'll also possess – and be able to demonstrate - these specific skills: • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.  • Participate in design reviews with the Design team providing constructability input.  • Technical management of all sub-contractors and suppliers.  • Work with and guide the Site Engineer in undertaking quality inspections.  • Work closely with COVA Construction Supervisors and all construction sub-contractors to ensure works are completed to the defined quality specifications.  • Ensure quality assurance and control processes are implemented onsite. Develop ITPs in consultation with Technical Leads.  • Prepare Scope of Works documentation for installation and supply sub-contracts.  • Undertake technical evaluation of sub-contractor and supplier tenders, quotations and proposals.  • Identifying unforeseen technical issues and costs and reporting them to the Project Manager and Design Manager.  • Support Project Control teams with monthly sub-contractor and supplier payment claim reviews.  • Work with the Construction Manager and project manager to execute all construction activities.  • Implement risk management principles and activities appropriate to the projectacross all discipline.  • Ensure the project's quality management plan is fit for purpose and correctly administered.  • Undertake and lead the Commissioning of the project.
